Neostrata Gel
April 1st, 2010What is a Neostrata Gel?
A gel is a colloidal dispersion in which the product can be either a solid or semisolid, depending on concentration &/or temperature. Some gels become fluids due to agitation then resume their gel structure when allowed to be undisturbed – this is thixotropy. Common pharmaceutical gels are solids which when applied and with motion allow the product to become temporarily a liquid phase so it applies smoothly, then becomes tacky then dries (they stay in place and keep working on your skin).
